Like the others I could not put this book down! I need more ❤️
Midnight sun was amazingly well put together and brought to life aspects of the story that as a reader I wondered how they were experienced from the characters point of view. The book gave new perspective and story to the original plot without explicitly changing the it. I also enjoyed seeing the complexity of how Alice has to change small details to adjust the future to her liking. I can never get enough of these books and can’t wait to see what the author plans to create next.
It was cool to see Edwards POV towards things. Wish there was another coming out!
i’ve loved this series ever since i was little. this book was a wonderful continuation of this world that i’ve grown to love so much. truly wonderful.
So happy to have so much more of this world!
I really enjoyed reading this book and really recommend it. It was really informative and exciting to see the story from Edward’s point of view.
Amazing! I hope she does the rest in his perspective as well. It would be cool to see the next one with his and Alice’s perspective split. It’s odd to me people didn’t like it, saying how it’s the same thing as the first book. Like duh. That’s what it is, just from Edward’s POV. You get to read more about his family too which is perfect and any die hard fan’s dream.
I have read it twice already!! So worth it!
This book was really good I would recommend to anyone of you like the other four books you will like this.
There’s no words to express how much I love this book and how much my selfish self needs more.
I’ve heard nothing but good about this book. I plan on reading it after I’ve finished the four Twilight books. I literally just finished Mew Moon maybe an hour ago. Can’t wait!
Better than the whole twilight series combined. Absolutely amazing and perfect in every way.
Definitely worth the wait. I hope more is written soon!
I loved it, i enjoyed getting to see a new perspective from the story. Especially how Edward could read people’s minds. I found it very fascinating I truly recommend it.
I would read every single book written from Edwards perspective. I would love to see how his thoughts are during the time he is away from Bella. And again when he returns and Jacob has been her rock the entire time. I would love to see Stephanie write all these books that way. So very engaging.
I love twilight since I was ten years old and I love Edward and I love how this book is and I felt in love with the vampire again and also love the movie to and I also will be team Edward for life
This book definitely fits the character of Edward. It explains a few more details of the dynamic between the family. I just wish there was more history of the main guy.... Edward. Of course the story of the love him and Bella share. Though I’ve always been Team Jacob (even before the casting of Taylor 😜) I have no doubts about being Team Jacob now. Blame my past experiences.... but yea. Lol. Thank you Stephanie for following through with this novel. I’ve been waiting for what seems like an eternity!! Lol. Well done. Hopefully more?? 🙏🙌🏻
This is exactly what i have been waiting for. I can only hope there will be more in the future but if not this is enough for me i love this series
Where to start! I’m 76% done with this book and I really want to just not finish it, but I’m not a quitter! Plus I’m loyal! I LOVED the first 4 books! Not the movies, but the books! However THIS BOOK! “SHOCK FACE” I read the portion that got leaked a few years back and was so excited. I really enjoyed it! But THIS?? I don’t find THAT in this! We think we want to hear Edwards thoughts but that must have been in theory! This portrayal of Edward makes him LAME and pathetic! He goes ON AND ON AND ON about NOTHING! I finally just started skipping through which is a bummer because I’m sure I probably missed SOMETHING good in there as I was skipping! But I just can’t do his endless self abasement and over thinking, page after page after page! It’s as if because we wanted to hear “some of his thoughts” they got shoved down our throats and now we’re gaging into them! I’m sorry to be so harsh, but I was THRILLED when I found out the book was coming out and so let down at this point. Edward is no longer sexy he’s pathetic! Please fix him in New Moon! And while you’re at it, please redo the movies! I know I sound like I’m just a hater, genuinely I’m not! I love the books, have read them several times and though I don’t like what the directors did with the movies, I have watched them more than once even recently because they hold a place in my heart!
This book totally took me back to the first meeting of Edward and Bella. It was exciting to revisit all the memories but from Edwards perspective. I fell in love with the vampire all over again.
Better than Bella.
Thank you Stephanie for finishing this. I was furious when you were betrayed and hurt. I waited until you had decided not to contribute and you released your unedited version to read the beginning all those years ago and it was my now 14 year old daughter who told me that this was coming. (She has read my copies of the saga recently). Like the others, I could not put it down for long, great job! Cori in Waco, TX
Great insight into the characters!
This was an amazing book. It was well worth the wait. Thank you Stephenie for sharing your amazing talent. I loved jumping back into the world of Vampires.
When I first began to read the Twilight saga I was 12 years old. Now of course my adolescent-self did not realize how strange the romantic realtionship between an introverted 17 year old girl and a 108 year old self-loathing killer was, but the gloomy love story always intrigued me and most likely shaped my developing style throughout my teenage years. Even though I knew the story I still found myself rapidly consuming this book. Can Edwards self-hatred get tiresome? Yes. Are a considerable amount of his actions argueably creepy and obsessive? Yes. Do Bella and Edward dive into this romantic relationship at a rate that comes off as immature? Yes. But all in all, if you look at these characters as teenagers experiencing first love the actions seem to be less off-putting and more endearing. Not to mention how this book allows the reader to mindread with Edward which I thought was pretty cool. So, if you grew up reading the twilight saga and some part of your childhood self still loves the world Stephenie Meyer created, I’d say you’d most likely enjoy this book. Even though the chances of more books in Edward's perspective are slim, I would love to see them!
I’ve gotta say, I didn’t expect this book to be good. I didn’t think that anymore could be added to the Twilight series without just being a run-on, but this book answered so many questions. Plus, all the times you wondered “what is Edward thinking?”, now you know. I hope that she does this for the rest of the series, and no offense to any hard-core Bella fans, but I liked Edwards story better. I felt it was more thought out, and that we really felt just how much pain Edward was in every day. This book definitely was a good purchase, and an even better read.
Edward has a fast-paced mind. His world is action-packed and suspenseful while he manages to keep a human pace for Bella.
i love this book so much i dont even have words.
Great. I enjoyed hearing Edward’s side of this story so much. Now I hope she does the rest of the twilight series. 😍😍😍
The book was good. I’ve always wanted to know Edwards thoughts. I feel like we learned more hearing both sides of the story. My only criticism is that his thoughts often lead to very long drawn out stories. Some are useful for the storyline — some not so much in this moment
I love this book. Once I started I couldn’t put it down. I really hope there are more sequels from edwards view to go along side the rest of the twilight series.
There weren’t any revelations that made this book necessary for the series. Not to mention the way Meyer depicts the quileute tribe as less than desirable to say the least. I don’t know.. I’m sure I’m too old to be reading this as a 25 year old but considering I was 13 the first time around, I felt compelled to pick it up for nostalgia purposes. Some things didn’t make sense as well and felt like a bit of a stretch, like edward would feel a certain way but say the total opposite as it was necessary to keep the dialogue the same as twilight. I wish I hadn’t spent $15 on a book I have no interest in finishing even though I’m 77% complete.
Thank you Stephenie Meyer.
I was hesitant because I thought “well it’s the same book, so how great can that be?”. It was AWESOME! Made me see Twilight so differently. It answered a lot of questions I had about why/how some things went down the way the did, and many moments of “what the heck was Edward thinking?!”. And it made some seemingly innocent moments seem almost horrifying when seen through Edwards eyes. Overall glad I bought it and truly would LOVE New Moon from Edwards POV!
I’ve looked forward to reading this for many years. I was not disappointed. However, it’s made me want to read more of Edwards point of view for the next three Twilight books in the series. :)
I found this book to drag. I read all of the twilight books in one month. I could not put them down. This one didn’t have that hold on me.
I really enjoyed reading this! Even though it’s the same like the first! However, it great to hear Edward’s thoughts and how he felt through out the whole story. I really hope we get to see more because I would like to know what Edward went through in New Moon!
Everything I waited for and more. And I’d gladly take more if she ever felt the need to write more from Edwards POV. I was a fan from day one, and I still am now. What an eloquent way to show a deeper side to the story after all these years later. Kudos to the author, this is my favorite of the series for sure!and well worth the wait!
And finally, after what she thought would be enough years to fade the fervor had passed; this gift is ever so kindly bestowed! This book is like your college age kiddos come back home for the summer; still a few ticks and rough edges to polish but well loved, blooming w increased maturity, and oh so very infinitely welcome! Of course I know Edward’s “17” year old perspective was always going to be much more mature, and it delivered! Several huge points that I didn’t realize could benefit from this angle’s clarification came together for me in this book, and even some facets of the movie series; whether inadvertently on the author’s part or not (which I think was very kind of her). Every apprehension, question, pointed scoff, and fervent prayer experiences toward or for a character in the book is answered! The only caveat is that now I have more questions, concerns, and no gear for the cliff hanger that fans of the entire series will feel when they sadly reach the end of this book. Let’s all hope pray campaign for at least a New Moon in Edwards perspective, and maybe title it after whatever we call the endless night periods that happen in polar regions? Although, we’d certainly devour the entire series in his perspective all the way till the closing moment of Breaking Dawn just to hear how moved he is by Bella finally opening her mind to him. The Twilight series was my guilty pleasure when it debuted, and I’ve read it a few times over, just to savor it. My daughter and her friends grew up w the series, and we have many joyful memories waiting in lines all day for book and movie debuts and marathons. Now in their twenties, my daughters and I have reunited in absolute joy over this piece and can only hope for a little more... and more and more! #teamEdward
I expected it to better than it was. It dragged a lot and had to much in net monologue. Would definitely not read again.
I was worried it’d be a boring retelling of Twilight, but I’m glad I was wrong! It’s a great read even if you’ve just read Twilight. Edward’s perspective keeps you engaged and interested; it adds to the original Twilight book and makes it even better.
I loved this book. I would really like read all the books through Edward’s perspective..
Reading this book brought me back to sitting in my room at 15 years old waiting love like this some day. 13 years later I found this love. This book was well put together. It truly brought me back in time and I’m so glad I was able to relive those memories. I hope there are more to come with Edwards point of view.
10 years later and I get to read this version of first book of one of my favorite series ❤️ loved every second of it and it made me feel has happy has Twilight did when I was 12 years old
Yessssss!!!!! 💕😩Now we just need the last three please! 🙏🏻🥺Maybe a little something about Renesmea. 😉Afterward of course. I’m ready to start that journey 😬
Can we get the whole series in Edwards perspective now
I've forced myself to the half way mark and just can't go on any further. I loved the twilight series. I loved Edward. From his perspective he has no depth or substance. This has been a painful read and that is so sad to me.
Edward is a snore and I skipped so many parts, the jump from ehh new girls what ever to you’re my life was super quick and cringey
