I needed to rethink my habits and this gave me a fresh perspective. Really working “my system” to change things.
Clarity. That’s one word I’d use to describe Atomic Habits. Imagine you’re wanting to change your life. And imagine that your mind is the sky. Now imagine how many things are up there on autopilot. This book teaches you how to reroute those things (planes; habits), prepare for takeoff (start new habits), and land with intention (end bad habits).
Definitely has life changing information backed by science. Great read would recommend to anyone looking to break a bad habit.
After reading this book, I got a clear picture about how good habits can be made a part of your everyday life in a systematic manner.
Great read on the science of habits. Much of this isn’t complex but that’s the beauty. It’s all about the execution on how to set yourself up for daily success. I couldn’t recommend this book more if you want to leverage the daily actions that lead to big results.
The title pretty much sums it up. You could probably cut the intro and condense any insight of the book in 25 pages tops.
“Atomic Habits” connects a wide variety of ideas across disciplines to present the reader with some new perspectives on changing your behavior. It’s a solid book with good theoretical and practical advice, but if you already have a hard time with self discipline, I don’t know that it will totally change your life. It may help you navigate it a little better, though.
Great read with lots of applications. The best for me is to change a small habit first
If you like this kind of genre, this book isn’t for you. Reason being that most ideas and even anecdotes are recycled from other books. Nothing new here.
There are a lot of good points in this book that you can take with you and use every day.
The author does a good job combining practical, actionable advice backed by research and scientific evidence. I definitely took away many things I can do to improve my daily behavior in order to get the most out of life!
This is by far the most actionable self help book I have ever read. I found myself immediately applying the principles in this book to my life. I can honestly say that I am a different version of myself since reading this book. It is also the first time I have bought 5 copies and gave them to friends to read.
Overall an amazing inspirational read for anyone looking for a change of pace. The author uses a variety of interesting case studies that really illustrate the benefits of habit change.
The book breaks down why we do certain habits. The author does a good job providing a method on how to build better habits and stop doing bad ones.
